Digital Textbook Returns
We understand that customers may want to return a digital book for a refund because of various reasons. Because there is no physical product, digital books may not be returned to the bookstore once the title is activated. This means refunds are not available for activated digital books. Please contact the bookstore if you need assistance with any technical difficulties related to your digital book order. We will replace the digital book file if you encounter technical problems during the download.
PLEASE NOTE WHEN AN EBKBOOK IS LISTED, IT IS MEANT TO BE A CHOICE. SELECT EITHER THE TEXTBOOK OR THE EBOOK, NOT BOTH!
EBK DIGITAL BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY IN THE CARDED FORMAT THROUGH THE AU BOOKSTORE. The eContent download (no shipping because it is downloaded directly to you in email form) is not a format supported at this time.

Your privacy is important to us. At Ashland University, we are committed to undertaking reasonable measures to protect the privacy, accuracy, and reliability of your personal information and to protect such information from loss, misuse, and authorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.*
E-commerce - Several sites within Ashland University enable you to pay for products or services online with a credit card. Unless otherwise noted, these transactions are encrypted. It is University policy that confidential information you enter in the transaction is used specifically stated on that site. Credit card numbers are used for individual transactions and are not retained in our records or files.*
We will protect your privacy by NOT sharing your email address with anyone. When you ask a question, respond to a survey or place an order online, your email address will stay with us. This degree of security means you will receive no correspondence unless it's from us and relates directly to your question or order.
Secure Online Ordering
We have gone to great lengths to protect the security and validity of your credit card transaction. Our order forms are encrypted by our secure server to guarantee that the information can be read by us only. It will appear as indecipherable gibberish if the data is intercepted by an unauthorized source.
We use the process developed by Netscape—SSL (Secure Socket Layer)—to guard information. SSL is the industry standard for online security. Today’s web browsers support this protocol, including Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer and others.
Before a business can use SSL, it must be certified by an independent authority. This trusted third party will determine if the business is legitimate. VeriSign, one of the largest such companies in the world, certified us.
How to Tell It's Secure
There are a couple of ways to tell if the information you are receiving is coming from a secure server.
- Check the security icon. Most browsers use a key (Netscape Navigator) or padlock (Microsoft Internet Explorer). An unbroken emblem indicates a secure browser.
- Check the URL field of your browser. With a secured server the address will begin with https:// instead of the usual http://.
